The first school was established in Stoikite in 1878. Two years after the village opened its first church. The church and the school shared a common courtyard. In 1934 was built a new school in the center of the village.
Maxim Gorki Boarding School was opened in 01.09.1971 and hails students from all over Bulgaria.
